I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend as much as I did. It was Lucy’s first Easter, and Austin was old enough to actually enjoy the festivities.

Austin’s First Easter Basket – Filled with Chalk, Bubbles, A Soccer Ball, Crackers, and A Fig Bar. He found it immediately without any prompting.

Of course the Easter bunny left something for Lucy too.

After breakfast we headed to Grammy and Papa’s house. Lucy met her Great Grandma.

She also got to meet her Cousins and Aunt for the first time. The girls were so excited to finally meet her. They are all like little mothers . . . Babysitters in the making?

Austin participated in his first easter egg hunt. He loved picking up all the eggs and trying to open them. He is still a little young for treats so they were left empty.

The day ended running around outside with his cousins and splashing in some mud puddles.

Clearly, he fell in the mud puddle which resulted in wet pants and the pants then being removed! Oh to be a kid again!

Although we ran out of time and didn’t get to dye easter eggs, it was such a fun weekend. I love that Austin is now at the age that he is starting to play and have fun with holiday traditions and just chasing his cousins around. It’s going to be a fun summer and I get to channel my inner child along with him.

  1. We will have to teach the babysitters to take pics for your blog so we won’t have to get up from the deck and risk spilling our drinks this summer. Haha.
